At JAANUU, we believe caring for those who care for others deserves more than a simple thank you. It deserves a moment to celebrate, a space to connect, and a community that shows up for one another.

That’s what made Healthcare Appreciation Night with the LA Kings so special. We welcomed healthcare professionals, along with members of The Pitt cast and crew, to the JAANUU Suite for an evening of appreciation, camaraderie, and, of course, hockey. Because sometimes, the people who spend their days caring for others deserve a night that’s all about them.

Healthcare Pros, On & Off the Screen

Inside the JAANUU Suite, the evening brought together the people who live healthcare every day and those who help bring it to life on screen. Healthcare professionals joined The Pitt cast members Shawn Hatosy, Patrick Ball, Isa Briones, Fiona Dourif, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Sepideh Moafi, and Luke Tennie, along with members of the show’s wardrobe team, for food, drinks, stories, and the kind of connections that make a community feel a little closer.

It was a reminder that while healthcare may look different on screen, the heart behind it is real. And whether you’re caring for patients or helping tell their stories, there’s plenty to celebrate when people come together around a shared appreciation for all the work that goes into it.

We also made sure our guests left with a little something extra, gifting them a lineup of favorites from JAANUU, GOT BAG, and BrüMate.

We Are the Champions

One of the evening’s most meaningful moments started with a simple question: What do you champion?

Inspired by JAANUU’s mission to champion the people who power healthcare, our What I Champion Wall invited guests to share what they stand for, both in healthcare and in life. From the values that guide their work to the people and causes that inspire them beyond it, every response offered a glimpse into what makes this community so special.

Championing healthcare means more than recognizing a profession. It means celebrating the people behind it, what matters to them, and the impact they make every day.

Taking the Celebration to the Ice

Then it was time to trade the suite for the ice and bring a little friendly competition into the mix.

The Scrubs Breakaway relay race put fans in the middle of the action, with one winning participant taking home free scrubs for a year. The excitement extended into the stands, where one lucky row of fans was randomly selected to win a JAANUU Care Kit filled with surprises.

Then, JAANUU Founder Dr. Neela took a ride on the Zamboni before joining members of The Pitt cast to help beat the Kings drum and lead the crowd in a resounding “Go, Kings, Go!” It was the kind of moment that brought everyone together, turning an already memorable evening into a celebration of healthcare, community, and the joy of showing up for something bigger than ourselves.

From meaningful conversations in the suite to unforgettable moments on the ice, Healthcare Appreciation Night was about more than a great game. It was an opportunity to celebrate the people who show up for others, uplift what they champion, and create space for a community that understands the work they do.
